When should I apply?
ICA sets no minimum waiting period for EP/S Pass holders. Timing is a personal judgement; prepare documents and Singpass for everyone first.

Official information
- No minimum residence period or pass tenure is published for EP/S Pass holders.
- ICA recommends starting only after all applicants have a Singpass account — approval can take 2–5 working days.
- Your employer letter must be dated no more than 3 months before you submit, and you need payslips for the last 6 months.
- New or repeated applications for the same people are not accepted while a current application is still being processed.
- Male applicants must read National Service information on cmpb.gov.sg before applying.

- A recurring pattern in rejection stories is applying within about a year of arriving, or straight after a job or pass change. Several applicants suggest waiting for at least one or two tax filings in Singapore.
- There are counter-examples of approvals after less than a year in Singapore, so this is a tendency in posts, not a rule.

- “Apply in January when quotas reset.” ICA does not publish monthly or annual quotas by applicant type.
- Paid “optimal timing” advice from agencies — no official source supports a timing effect.
