Because you said your parents live with you: a visible sign of putting down roots.
Every line tells you where it came from.
ICA publishes what it considers, not how it weighs it. So we keep three things apart: what ICA says, what 422 vetted applicant reports show, and our own judgement.

Applied already? The wait is where we'll help most.
Coming nextShaded: where the middle half of reported decisions landed (months 5–11). ICA's stated timeline is within 6 months when documents are complete.
The upload button disappeared from my e-Service. Is that good?
Ask Compass will answer from ICA sources and vetted reports, and say which is which.
It will never guess your odds. When it doesn't know, it will say so and point you to ICA. Until it launches, the answers to the most common waiting-period questions are in the knowledge base.
“My first application sat with ICA for nine months, then came back rejected, with no reason given. I work in data and AI, so the second time I did what I do for a living: I studied the evidence. I was approved. This is that work, made free for everyone.”
Why trust the output: every official fact links to ICA or another government source, every applicant pattern comes from vetted, source-tracked cases, and the scoring is tested against real outcomes, with its limits stated.
- Built by an applicant, not an immigration agency
- We never sell your details or take agency referral fees
- The readiness check and knowledge base stay free

What applicants ask most
Straight answers, with ICA's own words kept separate from what applicants report.
Data: how long PR decisions take- Why do PR rejections cluster at 4 months?ICA has not said. Since the June 2024 e-Service, applicants report many rejections around 4 months and few approvals that early; ICA gives no reasons.
- What ICA status signals like 4 lines meanUsually that a decision is close, not what it is. Applicants report both signs before approvals and rejections alike; ICA does not explain what these mean.
- Singapore PR outcomes for Indian nationalsReported approvals are much lower for Indian nationals: 11% of decided cases we hold (5 of 44). ICA sets no nationality criteria; the data is self-reported.
- How long does PR processing take?ICA says applications are processed within 6 months if all documents are complete and in order; some take longer.
- Applying for PR with family overseasYes: ICA has no rule that family must live in Singapore. It weighs “family profile” and “sinking roots”; overseas family can count against you.
- Singapore PR fees: the full cost in 2026ICA charges S$100 to apply and S$120 more if approved — S$220 in official fees total, all non-refundable.
- When should I reapply?ICA sets no minimum waiting period. The only official rule: you can’t submit a new application while one is still being processed.
“ICA takes into account factors such as the individual's family ties to Singaporeans, economic contributions, qualifications, age, family profile and length of residency, to assess the applicant's ability to contribute to Singapore and integrate into our society, as well as his or her commitment to sinking roots in Singapore.”
